A filter-wheel IR photometer is described which operates in the spectral range from 2 to 24 microns and is equipped with a liquid-helium-cooled germanium bolometer. Observations with this photometer of several X-ray binaries and hot stars are reported, and the data analysis technique is discussed. The systems and stars observed include Gamma Cas, X Per, Phi Per, Zeta Tau, HDE 226868/Cyg X-1, HDE 245770/A0535 plus 26, the Am star HR 976, and the eclipsing binary Beta Lyr. The results obtained indicate that mass-loss rates are in the range from 100 billionths to 1 millionth of a solar mass per year, that the IR excess of X Per is variable in time, and that the secondary in Beta Lyr is encircled by an optically thick hot gaseous disk.
