Infrared photometry for six dwarf novae, six symbiotics, two novae, one recurrent nova, and seven related objects was obtained at the 1.3 m telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory in order to study the similarities and differences among these systems in regard to a disk component. When available, the visual continuum was joined to the IR. The flux distribution as a function of phase from maximum to minimum light was studied for SS Cyg, AB Dra, AH Her, and RX And. In contrast to the smooth IR decline of these systems, the decline of Nova Cyg shows an IR increase. All the symbiotics show the IR continuum of a late-type star. AE Aqr, EZ Peg, U Cep, and RS Oph appear more like the symbiotics than the dwarf novae. UX UMa and V426 Oph are very similar to the dwarf novae at standstill, while TT Ari is more like the novae in that it shows an IR excess.
