Infrared observations of the G30.8-0.0 complex are presented. The data,
in conjunction with radio data on the same region, imply that dust may
be depleted within the region. The presence of an absorption feature at
10 microns is interpreted as due to a cool circumnebular cloud which
gives rise to the 100-micron intensity reported by airborne observers.
