We present J and K near-infrared light curves of eclipsing binary Par 1802 obtained with the 1.3m SMARTS telescope at CTIO. We combine these observations with previously published light curves and radial velocities. The light curves in the out-of-eclipse phases are searched for periodicities which may be due to spots on the surface of one or both of the components. The modeling of the light curves and radial velocity curves is done using the Wilson- Devinney based code, PHOEBE. A careful assessment of the solution is also presented using a Monte-Carlo sampling of the parameter hyperspace providing heuristically error estimates. The compound analysis of the photometric and spectroscopic data allows for precise measurement of the system's physical parameters, complementing previous results. The components of this system have masses below half a solar mass making them one of the few dynamically measured in this mass regime. Moreover, while the masses of the two stars are equal, they seem to have different temperatures and radii. This surprising result provides key information for the calibration of star formation and evolution models.
