Infrared observations of the transient X-ray source A0620-00 were made on Aug. 26 and 29, 1975. When combined with optical data, these observations are consistent with emission from a thermal source which is optically thick at visual wavelengths if the interstellar extinction is about 2.2 magnitudes. Implications of these data for models of the source are discussed.
