Be star/X-ray binary systems are frequently bright, transient sources of high energy X-ray emission. In this paper we present a summary of the collaborative program between Southampton and Valencia Universities to study eleven of these systems. The object of this program is to learn more about the physical properties of the circumstellar disk around the Be star since this material provides the fuel for the accretion onto the neutron star and hence the X-ray emission.
