In the present paper we investigate theoretically the influence of spectral anisotropy on the random walk of magnetic field lines. We compute analytically the field line diffusion coefficients and explore quasi-linear and non-linear regimes. The key result of this paper is that spectral anisotropy is a very important effect since field line wandering behaves quite differently for the different turbulence anisotropy regimes.
