The required eccentricity for obtaining a frozen orbit is computed for the case of including higher degree zonals. A recent earth gravity field, complete to degree 50, is utilized to evaluate the frozen orbit geometry for earth orbiters. Results are also shown for the Mars Observer based on the earlier Balmino field and a more recent Mars gravity field.
