The correction formulas for the photodissociation rate of molecular oxygen and recombination rate of atomic oxygen derived in the present paper describe the influence of tides and internal gravity waves on the oxygen composition of the thermosphere. The formulas are derived in linear approximation. Estimates of these corrections are obtained from experimental data on the composition and dynamic conditions of the thermosphere.
