A method for computing periodic and secular perturbations of a cometary belt on the orbital elements, longitude, and latitude of a planet is given. The belt is considered to be circular, of given mass and inclination. Numerical results are given for these perturbations on the planets Neptune and Uranus due to circular belts with different radii (40 and 50 a. u.) and inclinations (0°, 5°, 10°, 15°)
