The collected observational data provide evidence that the vacuum currently dominates in the Uni verse, whose expansion, consequently, is accelerating. The dependence of angular size (theta) on redshift (z) for the most extended extragalactic radio sources (z) theta z = const can be explained by the dominance of the vacuum and the growth of the linear size of sources in proportion to the cosmological expansion. The present vacuum density can be completely provided by gravitational interactions between virtual particles, most likely pions.
