High resolution imaging through the atmosphere is considered. The different speckle methods are reviewed, and two of them, the speckle interferometry technique and the Knox-Thompson algorithm are studied in detail. The main maximum likelihood algorithms are reviewed and compared. These various methods were applied to astronomical and simulated data and some results are presented.
