Ca II H and K emission fluxes from 14 F, G and K type maim-sequence stars have been monitored over a span of 10 successive nights. The results suggest that rotation periods may he inferred for some of the stars from a corresponding modulation in the Ca II H and K signal. Most stars also show variations that are much shorter in duration than the expected rotation periods.
