The paper proposes a method for determining the total N(H) profile of the ionosphere on the basis of satellite sounding data, with improved determination of the critical frequency of the F-region. As additional information, the method uses group paths of signals reflected from the earth's surface. Calculations demonstrate that the method is stable with respect to errors in the experimental data.
