Following recent work by Butler and Zeippen (1984) on the forbidden lines between the 2p3 energy levels of neutral nitrogen, radiative transition probabilities have been calculated for O II forbidden lines, using the computer program SUPERSTRUCTURE. A configuration basis set has been selected, which yields satisfactory agreement with MCHF-BP calculations. The effect of semi-empirical term energy corrections and that of relativistic corrections to the magnetic dipole transition operator have been fully taken into account.
