We have ported a newly developed, fast, high-resolution, adaptive particle-mesh algorithm called APM (Pen 1994) to the CRAY T3D. The CRAY Research Inc.'s T3D is a massively parallel, distributed memory processing system that supports several different programming models. In this paper we summarize the algorithm and describe the programming model used to implement it. We present performance figures and compare them to the performance achieved on various other platforms. Finally we discuss the application of the code to the study of large-scale structure formation. This port enables us to run simulations with over 100 million particles using over 1 billion mesh points, yielding an effective dynamic range of 10000 defined as the box length divided by the shortest softening length.
