Results are presented of a geological investigation of three multi-ringed structures of possible meteoritic impact origin on the Algerian Sahara platform. Tin Bider is a concentric multiple ring structure at least 6 km in diameter characterized by an extreme folding of upper-Cretaceous sedimentary beds, a flat, clearly exposed contact between upper deformed beds and underlying undeformed beds, and definite petrographic evidence of shock metamorphism in the quartz grains of the central sandstones. Its identification as a probable impact structure makes it the only astrobleme known with such prominent ductile deformations. Foum Teguentour is an 8-km diameter bull's eye ring pattern with morphology consistent with an impact origin, although the prominence of ductile deformation, the nature of the formations, the relationships between the structure and a surrounding plateau and the lack of evidence of shock effects better support a diapiric origin. Mazoula is an 800-m diameter multi-ring feature with an anticlinal dome capped by a flatlying massive carbonate layer dipping in accordance with surface topography, and may represent a Cretaceous rudistid reef or a salt diapir.
