MOSFIRE is a near-IR ( 0.97-2.45 microns) imager and multi-object spectrograph for the Cassegrain focus of the Keck I Telescope. The optical design provides a field of view of 6.14' x 6.14' employing a 2K x 2K Hawaii-2RG HgCdTe array from Teledyne Imaging Sensors. This gives a pixel scale of 0.18" in imaging mode and delivers < 0.25" rms diameter images over 0.97 to 2.40 microns with no re-focus. The filter complement includes K, Ks, H, J, Y with the goal of up to 5 additional photometric broad or narrow-band filters. We present simulated raw and processed images, utilizing the initial data reduction package, in all 5 photometric bands. Once established, it will be possible to embed a world coordinate system into the header of any MOSFIRE image, making it straightforward to produce astrometrically correct images for mosaics, or for designing slit masks using MOSFIRE images. MOSFIRE is currently scheduled for delivery to the Keck Observatory in summer 2010.
