The Soft X-ray Camera (SXC) aboard the HETE satellite uses X-ray CCDs and a micro-fabricated coded aperature mask to image X-ray sources with arcminute accuracy over a steradian field of view. SXC imaging is performed both by in-flight (real time) and ground based analysis. Calibration of imaging with observations of the Crab and Sco-X1 is described. The accuracy of SXC localizations is determined trough observations of known steady and transient galactic X-ray sources and sensitivity to GRBs is estimated through detections of Galactic X-ray bursts.
