We propose to study a QSO with host galaxy at redshift 0.17. It will be imaged with the STIS CCD and MAMA to study the morphology of the host galaxy We will obtain long-slit spectra through the nucleus and offset by up to 5 arcsec in the host galaxy to study the stellar populations, gas dynamics and ages. The spectra will be taken with gratings G140L, G230L, G450L, G750L. The slit orientation is chosen to pass through known structure and companion galaxies from ground-based imaging.
