The performance of DISCO (Direct image stabilized camera option) during the first test run at the 2.2 m telescope is discussed. The spot sizes of stellar images in non-stabilized exposures are compared with the simultaneously measured image motion; both are related to the results of turbulence theory. These data serve as a reference for the analysis of stabilized exposures. The improvement introduced by the stabilization was evident during a good fraction of the measurements and is seeing dependent. The global results are discussed.
