The use of maximum entropy techniques (Narayan and Nityananda, 1986) for improving image enhancement of optical astronomical data is discussed. Results are presented from the application of maximum entropy methods to two R-band images of NGC 2903. It is shown that the best results are obtained when the original image has a pixel size less than 1/4 of the seeing disk.
