Comets, Cometary Nuclei: Structure

Scientific paper

We identified four main morphological structures near the nuclear region
of the comet Ikeya-Zhang (I-Z): halons, jets, shells and spirals. Their
physical interpretation was derived from a comparison with similar
structures found in the comet Hale-Bopp. This work enabled us to deduce
some important dynamical parameters of I-Z nucleus.
