The SDSS-II SN Survey was conducted from 2005 to 2007 for three months a year with the goal of identifying Type Ia SNe within a 300 square degree field along the celestial equator. The survey has spectroscopically confirmed over 500 SNe Ia and an additional 1000 SN Ia candidates without spectroscopic confirmation. Due to the relatively high detection thresholds used during the search seasons to reduce the amount of false positives, however, many of the faint SNe have gone undetected. We perform a deeper search for faint SNe in the SDSS-II imaging data with the ultimate goal of identifying an additional 1000 SNe Ia that were not detected in real time. Potentially doubling the sample size will not only improve statistics for studies such as SN rates and demographics, but will also help reduce systematics by obtaining a less biased sample including low-luminosity and highly-extincted SNe Ia. Our method for improvement of data analysis includes reduction of detection thresholds and combining multiple nights' worth of data. As a general proof of concept, a subset of the total area from the survey is taken and difference images are created from the coadded data. Preliminary results are to be presented.
