LAT PSR J1907+06 is one of several GeV gamma-ray pulsars recently discovered with Fermi. The pulsar is likely associated with the extended TeV gamma-ray source MGRO J1908+06. We have previously obtained XMM-Newton data of MGRO J1908+06 which also cover the position of LAT PSR J1907+06. However, in these observations the pulsar position was near the edge of the field of view where the sensitivity is low, and no significant X-ray sources were detected inside the Fermi error circle. We propose to carry out a deeper XMM-Newton observation of LAT PSR J1907+06 to search for potential X-ray counterparts to the gamma-ray pulsar. An X-ray detection will provide a significantly improved position of the pulsar and allow the identification of counterparts at other wavelengths.
