The first processing of the ROSAT All-Sky Survey data revealed roughly 50000, mostly new, X-ray sources. The authors summarize the results of extensive identification projects with radio, infrared, optical, and UV objects. The second processing of the All-Sky Survey has just been finished, yielding approximately 80000 sources. The authors estimate that roughly 50% of the RASS sources will be AGN, approximately 10% will be galaxies and clusters of galaxies, 35% will be stars, and about 5% other objects. Further results will be discussed as well as the status of the ROSAT All-Sky Survey bright source catalogue.
