The optical counterpart of the X-ray transient V0332+53 is a star of
magnitudes V = 15.13 and B-V = 2.31. The line Hα has a P-Cygni
profile with the absorption component at -1400 km/s. The possibility of
a 2.198 s optical periodicity, at 3.4σ level, is investigated.
