Two variants of two-parameter districting of the lunar surface according to the albedo-polarization degree relationship are examined. One is based on results of the cluster analysis of 2D images, while the other relies on test regions (landing sites). Digital processing of telescopic polarization images obtained at an effective wavelength of 450 nm was carried out. The spatial distribution of optically typical regions on the lunar disk was evaluated. Seven lunar landing sites with a mean area of 800 sq km are typical for 40 percent of the eastern part of the lunar disk.
