IC 2006 is surrounded by a ring in which the direction of gas motion is
opposite to the rotation of the galaxy's stellar body. This peculiarity
can be explained easily if it is assumed that the ring lies in the polar
plane. The parameters of the ring are determined, and it is found that
the ring has an elliptical shape.
