Data acquired in IBIS Compton mode are contaminated by fake events generated by random coincidence between uncorrelated ISGRI and PICsIT events. These 'fake Compton' events must be accurately subtracted in order to derive meaningful information from the Compton mode data. We present a method for subtracting random coincidences from the IBIS Compton data. The method is applied to on-ground Calibration data and to Crab observations. Key words: ISGRI; COMPTON; INTEGRAL.
