The fundamental hydromagnetic oscillations of a nonrotating neutron star are considered in a model in which the neutron star is a homogeneous spherical mass of incompressible nuclear material with a constant internal magnetic field. The spectrum of the magnetohydrodynamic oscillations of the star, which are caused by residual (after the supernova explosion) fluctuations of the potential velocity field in the stellar material and related fluctuations of the magnetic field strength, is obtained in analytical form. Numerical estimates of the periods of the hydromagnetic oscillations fall in the time interval for the periodicities of radio pulsars, which suggests the possibility that the hydromagnetic oscillations may affect the electromagnetic activity of neutron stars.
