Many high-resolution hydrocodes have been applied in the astrophysical simulations, and most of them solve the Euler Equations. Here we present a new one, which is based on the gas-kinetic theory, i.e. the approximate Boltzmann equation (BGK model). The differences between this code from some of other schemes is that it solves the Navier-Stokes equations, and no artificial numerical viscosity or dissipation mechanisms are needed to suppress the postshock oscillations. The applications of this code to several astrophysical problems, e.g. the interaction between galaxy and inter-galactic medium and accretion flow past large graviting bodies, are presented.
