Central compact objects (CCOs) are an enigmatic class of neutron stars found at the centers of supernova remnants. They show puzzling properties in X-rays and their emission mechanism is not clearly understood. Recent spin-down measurements revealed the CCO J1852+0040 as a pulsar with a very weak (3e10G) surface magnetic field, which is hard to reconcile with the high surface temperature and large pulsed fraction observed. In order to search for more such objects, we carried out a shallow Chandra survey (5ks per pointing) of all nearby (< 3kpc) weak-field (< 1e11G) non-recycled radio pulsars that have never been observed in X-rays. We find no X-ray counterparts for PSRs B1952+29, J1739-3951, J0609+2130 and J1107-5907. We report on the flux limits and discuss the physical implications.
