We present observations of the intrinsic UV absorption in the Seyfert 1 galaxy NGC 3783 with the Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (STIS) on the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) and the Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer (FUSE). These observations are part of an intensive multiwavelength monitoring campaign of the intrinsic absorption in NGC 3783. We have combined 17 STIS and 5 FUSE exposures to produce an averaged spectrum with a very high signal-to-noise ratio. The large number of lines and ionization states sampled by the combined STIS and FUSE spectra allow a detailed probe of the physical nature of the UV absorbers. We find a complex geometry of the absorbing gas with respect to the continuum source and broad emission line region (BELR). Analysis of the doublet lines and Lyman lines reveals partial coverage of both the continuum source and BELR for several ions. Further, the covering fractions vary between ions. We use these results to investigate the geometry of the absorbing gas and emission sources. We also present preliminary analysis of variability in the UV absorption.
