We present preliminary results from our analysis of UV and optical spectrophotometry of the zem =~ 1.9 Broad Absorption Line (BAL) QSO 0932+5006. A UV spectrum was obtained with the HST FOS G270H grating and optical spectra were obtained with the Palomar 5-m telescope and Double Spectrograph. Some higher resolution optical spectra were also obtained with the MMT at an earlier epoch. The optical spectrum of Q0932+5006 shows evidence for weak low-ionization BALs (e.g. MgII). However, the UV spectrum shows that the BAL region gas is not optically thick at the hydrogen Lyman limit. Furthermore, with the information provided by the UV spectrum we can place constraints on the column densities of different ions of the same element. These results are useful for models attempting to explain the level of ionization and chemical composition of the BAL region gas.
