Some typical space missions are presented on a diagram of the wavelength range versus astrophysical objects, including solar observation missions, several modest missions for hard X-ray band, covering the physics of collapsed objects, the galactic bulge and AGN, and the Einstein Observatory mission. Space missions are also exhibited on diagrams illustrating sensitivity vs angular resolution and sensitivity vs energy coverage. The paper presents a few typical highlights of multiwavelength observations by which diverse directions in astronomy were opened, new astrophysical objects were added to the repertory, and deeper insights in various phenomena were achieved.
