The paper is concerned with obtaining 'hot' models of ellipsoidal rotating stellar systems, that is, models featuring finite velocity dispersion in the rotation plane. Hot ellipsoidal models are derived which are homogeneous (constant density) and in which the velocity distribution functions are more complex than just quadratic ones. From one integral equation, several models can be constructed. In the present case, a class of models in rigid-body rotation and a differentially rotating model are derived. According to the Peebles-Ostriker criterion, the rigid-rotation models are stable, while the differential one is unstable.
