Scientific paper

A solution is obtained for the Einstein equation for a homogeneous cosmological model with cylindrical symmetry. All the metric coefficients in the Einstein equation are time functions for a limiting stiff equation of state. The case of a homogeneous cylindrically symmetrical universe with an ultrarelativistic equation of state is considered.
