A simple holographic optical element (HOE) system based on volume phase gratings has been developed for the narrowing of laser emission lines. The HOE system consists of a holographic selector of total internal reflection and a holographic selector-telescope. Experimental results are presented on the effectiveness of this system. A reduction of laser beam divergence (compared to initial divergence) has been achieved by Bragg diffraction on the selector-telescope.
