The requirements on the optical system of an astronomical objective having a sectional main mirror and holographic image correction are presented. Methods are given for calculating the corrector by means of a lens model and the results of an experimental test of an objective having a main mirror diameter of 500 mm and a focal length of 4.8 m are given.
