Sufficient conditions are determined for Hill stability and instability
of an isoenergetic family of trajectories in the simplified semiaveraged
elliptical restricted three-body problem proposed by Rein (1938) for
small eccentricities. The existence of motions that are stable in the
circular problem but unstable in Rein's problem is proven.
