After a short description of the mission and of the performances of the instrument in flight, the most significant results will be presented. The planet hunting program illustrates the variety of planetary systems discovered by CoRoT and some consequences in terms of planet structure and evolution will be given In stellar physics, the first seismologic interpretations, in term of internal structure, of the pulsations discovered y CoRoT in different types of stars (solar like stars, giants, hot stars and classical pulsators). The CoRoT data allow also to determine precisely the true surface rotation in large samples of objects and to interpret them in terms of surface inhomogeneities and eventually differential rotation.
