Recent tests performed at the NASA Glenn Research Center and elsewhere
have shown promise in the design and construction of high voltage
(300-1000 V) solar arrays for space applications. Preliminary results
and implications for solar array design will be discussed, with
application to direct-drive electric propulsion and space solar power.
