The rapidly oscillating Ap star HD 134214 was observed for 2 hr using the Ultraviolet Visual Echelle Spectrograph on the Very Large Telescope. Lines of 8 of the 9 different ion species identified and tested exhibit pulsations at a frequency of 2.929 mHz with amplitudes ranging from ˜ 50 m s -1 in Y II to ˜ 500 m s -1 in Nd II. The lines of Fe I are not observed to pulsate.
