We present an overview over the scientific potential of a superconducting camera and detector used by ESA for the observation of planetary transits. This system has an ultra high temporal resolution (1μs) and simultaneously produces a low resolution spectrum. Simulated light curves are shown in order to illustrate the potential of this instrument setup. In 2006 we observed transits of TrES-1, HD 149026, HD 209458, and HD 198733.
