The High Resolution Video Management Unit (HVMU) represents the latest product developed by Techno System for the implementation of Digital Video Systems. The HVMU is a highly sophisticated, modular, and compact electronic unit with state-of-art image data handling capability. The HVMU performs the acquisition of very high resolution images (up to 6 Mpixels), the loss-less compression, the storage of all the image data in a solid state mass memory, and the simultaneous transmission to Ground of a certain number of images, or part of them, depending on the downlink capability. The request of high resolution image data to be sent to Ground can be done by Telecommand; the reception on Ground of image data is aimed at allowing the PI to have a quick look of image related to particular steps of the Experiment sequence.
