The central parts of six southern planetary nebulae (PNs) were observed with the CES spectrograph at the CAT telescope of the ESO in the 6536-6593 A spectral range at a resolution of 80,000. All these nebulae are found to be in a quite early evolutionary phase, and present low or moderate H-alpha and forbidden N II expansion velocities. They fit the evolutionary behaviors suggested by Sabbadin (1984) for this class of objects, a conclusion confirmed by calculations of the ionized mass from F(H-beta), the apparent radius, and the distance.
