Results are reported for observations of the active radio galaxy NGC 1275 which were made at a frequency of 10,650 MHz and a resolution of 0.00025 sec with a four-element intercontinental interferometer system extending from West Germany to California, Observational data are presented in the form of plots of fringe amplitude as a function of interferometer hour angle and are reduced to obtain a map of the radio structure of the galaxy's nucleus. The radio nucleus is found to consist of three apparently stationary emission features whose centers extend over a distance of 3 pc on a nearly straight line in position angle -9 deg. The brightest feature is located near the center of the source, and a significant part of its emission originates from a region smaller than 0.1 pc. It is noted that one or more of the features have changed their intensity or size in the past three years. A preferred elongation direction of all three radio features and several optical H-alpha filaments is found which suggests a common alignment mechanism that is effective over linear scales ranging from a few parsecs in the dense nucleus of the galaxy to more than 100 kpc in intergalactic space.
