The radioheliograph at Culgoora, N.S.W. was used in a study of Centaurus-A and Pictor-A. Recordings of each object were obtained on three separate nights in order to avoid distortions of the brightness contours due to ionospheric disturbances or equipment malfunction. The brightness distribution of the central components of Centaurus-A at 160 MHz is shown. The measurements confirm the conclusions of Lockhart and Sheridan (1970) that the major axis of the central components lie in position angles significantly different from the line joining their peaks. A brightness distribution of Pictor-A at 160 MHz is also presented.
