We are presenting high resolution interferometric mm-observations of various molecular transition lines towards the isolated dark cloud CB17. With these observations the double core with a separation of 5000AU, which was found in single dish mm-continuum observations, could be confirmed. Observations from IRAM30m, PdBI, CARMA, OVRO and SMA together with data from the Spitzer Space Telescope indicate that the two cores are at different evolutionary stages, implying a picture of slow, or even sequential star formation in isolated Bok globules.
